Climbing Mt. Cotopaxi 4:
Day 2 - Climbers refuge at 4800m
Walk to the climbers refuge at 4800m on the
next morning. It's bitter cold and windy.
Everyone has to carry food for the group... I had a sack
of potatoes!
To my surprise, the climbers refuge looks pretty good.
The hut is not heated - there's only a small fire for a short
time (no firewood...).
At 4800m it gets incredible cold - especially at night...
View to the summit of Mt. Cotopaxi.
Actually, it looks close - but that's a mistake...
