Cuyabeno Reserve 2:
Arrival at the camp and the night walk
Arrival at the camp.
The huts for the night.
My bed - cozy isn't it?
Hammocks for everyone...
After sunset, we start our night walk. Most insects are active
in the dark.
A poisonous spring spider surprises us (and our guide...)
on a tree. The
spider is larger than my hand (look at the jaw - they are
like arms!) and the
poison is lethal. The Tarantula, we have seen was more pleasant...
A huge, but harmless insect. Nevertheless, I decide to use
my mosquito
net this night...
